A tanker carrying a load of molten sulphur, the SS Marine Sulphur Queen, disappeared off the southern coast of Florida in February 1963. in the Bermuda triangle in one day early in February in 1963 with the loss of all 39 crew members. In all probability, she sank in a stormbut with no trace of the ship or crew ever found, its likely that well never be sure about the Wasps true fate. Holding a crew of six, she was in commission for 13 years before vanishing on a trip to Newfoundland. Renamed the Insurgent, she was sent to serve in the Caribbean, where she won many victories under Captain Alexander Murray, capturing five more ships before returning to the United States in 1800.
